Greensboro Violence

People are being shot, stabbed, and otherwise physically assaulted in Greensboro. I wonder if the police know where all of this is occurring? Will the public be informed of such?

How many times did a citizen use deadly force to protect? Is this not a meaningful statistic?

What help do the local police need? Is the level of violence increasing or decreasing in Greensboro?

Since the police can't protect the citizens what does a citizen do? Notice I said can't not wouldn't in regard to the police.

I will attempt to dredge up some statistics from websites and publish them here.

It is interesting to note that no leaks have surfaced regarding our local police.  Perhaps someone is trying to clean up the mess judging from the suspensions.  Yet, I wonder if the DA or the local council members are involved in this mess and not as victims?  No evidence so far to make that claim.  Will charges be brought against anyone?  Is the RMA report considered evidence in a court of law? 

Unsaid so far is the role of  N & R in this ongoing affair.  I note they love headlines that seldom have anything to do with the story being told.  Freedom of the press is a nice ploy reporters; but remember that the public has a right to truthful and objective reporting.  It is probably me, but does anyone sense a feeling of elitism among reporters and politicians?

As to the role of race in this sordid affair --- who cares!  There are many issues of race that maybe explored.  Be they black on white or white on black bias.  Greensboro's citizens are not immune to bias.

Inspite of the above have a Happy Thanksgiving and put the diet away for one day.  Though
it is politically incorrect, "may God have given you enough to be thankful for!"
