Basketball Anyone?

December 1891, Dr. James Naismith developed basketball as a game. True, the game has evolved from one point to three point goals and longer courts.
I think the game needs to be adjusted for today's athletes! Get rid of fouls, downsize to a single goal not two and allow Kung FU contact between players. The single goal would speed up the game and prevent the dull running back and forth seen in most games today. Also defense and offense would be a fluid rapidly changing athletic tactic with both teams in the the sweet spot jockeying for position.
Layups would count for one point and there would be no foul shots. A goal scored off an opponents head into the goal would count as five points. No points would be awarded for goals in which the ball entered from below the goal. We could look forward to the booty snatch, dropped drawer plays and unique passing styles. Maybe a little English on the ball.
Dribbling should not be restricted to the floor but also allowed in the air. I am debating whether to remove the backboards from the goal. I think it would allow greater public participation in the game.
