What in the world is going on? This story keeps getting worse. It is these types of stories that bring a whole new meaning to politics and the good ole boys.
During John Edwards' two campaigns for president, Andrew Aldridge Young was a trusted, loyal aide, often near the candidate's side when he was in North Carolina.
The circumstances have raised questions about Edwards' longtime aide, most sounding more like the stuff of soap operas than the residue of a failed campaign: (News & Observer)

Greene County is a tiny, rural, high-poverty place wedged between Greenville and Goldsboro in the central coastal plain. It has no car dealerships, no shopping malls and, except for an empty six-mile stretch of U.S. 264 that flanks its northern border, no four-lane highway.
Only 8 percent of the people there hold a college degree, compared with . . . (Read More)

This editorial sums it up and I agree with it 100%. I supported Edwards in 1998 and more than likely would have supported him for the Vice President if Senator Barack would have chosen him and he would have accepted.

Will someone help me? I am having a hard time trying to figure out is it normal for a mother to not attempt to find out who her baby daddy is? So what will she tell the baby when they grow up? Oh she will let the daddy be whoever the man is in her life at that time. That ain't right.
Don't you think that it is strange that a man would have an affair and a baby comes into the picture and he do not want to know if he is the daddy? I find this strange especially a man of John boy's status. I think he and his wife both would want to make sure that if it is his baby that, the baby will be taken care of. But to live the rest of their life not knowing the truth when a DNA test could bring some closure to this ain't right. But just maybe all involved know what the deal is so I guess I ought to just shut the hell up. Not! Because I have supported John politically over the years and my vote mean something to me whether he appreciated it or not.
Something just ain't right about this whole picture. Hell yeah I have a problem with it because he is a political figure and I have always stated that politics do not have to be dirty. This is nasty.
Atleast Rev. Jesse Jackson admitted to being the daddy of the baby by the woman he had an affair with.
Rielle Hunter's lawyer, Robert Gordon, said . . . Private, oh hell no when John boy is involved and I have supported him politically. (Read More)

What a damn shame John? Politicians must understand that they are already in the spotlight so one can not do anything to give the people something to talk about. To go out and cheat on your sick wife is just unacceptable.
I looked at the interview tonight and to me I don't understand how you could have been so calm.
One last thing, don't you know that this woman would eventually tell someone about the affair even if there was no baby involved.
