The late Sen. Jesse Helms once said, “We should not hesitate to tell the truth about ourselves – nor should we hesitate to tell the truth about our enemies, who stand ready to grind this nation and all it stands for into obscurity.”

Leslie Eason of Cary would agree with you, Jesse.

I totally agree also and that is why I have no problem with holding black, brown, white and others accountable for their actions. Jesse was the top dog, the number 1 bigot and racist in NC. Read more, "Courage Jesse Never Had."

Damn I like this guy. He quit rather than lower the flag for Helms. This is what I am talking about, standing up for what is right. This white guy understood that what Jesse Helms has done to America is nothing to be proud of. In fact all North Carolinians ought to be ashame of this ignant, racist bigot however one must not forget that because of Helms some white men think they can say whatever they want to to the black man. What a damn shame.
