There are so many folks who are afraid to talk about RACE Relations so some of the information here may not be what you want to read however you have options and I will let you figure out what they are. I don't make the news, I just report it. I don't make up rumors, I just share them. I don't discriminate when it comes to holding black, brown, white and other folks accountable for their actions. I have no permanent friends, no permanent enemies only permanent interest in what is going on around me. I also ask that others hold me accountable for my actions.
As you navigate through this blog click on all highlighted words for links to more information such as audio, video and etc. I hope that you will find the information here to be informative. At anytime you find mistakes in my post, please point them out to me immediately so that I can make changes asap. I have so much information on my mind when I am working and I am sometimes on the phone talking to others about issues and etc. and I be thinking one thing and writing another. I am always pushed for time because I am always searching for information, downloading pictures, making DVDs from political meetings/events that I attend across the county and state documenting our history among other things around the house. I capture history so that we can have our own history documented on digital video, photo and audio however ungreatful Negroes don't give a damn because they never donate to the cause. Most of the events that I attend I am the only person capturing the history. I also work a real job which is anywhere from 5 - 7 days a week. Sometimes I am up late at night and/or try to post something on the way out the door to work. So look beyond my errors and know that I am trying to do my very best. Point the errors out to me and I will make the necessary corrections.

As I begin the New Year I will be following our new President Barack Obama and the NAACP very closely. In my opinion they will be major topics because our President Elect is a black man and the NAACP will probably be busier than ever dealing with issues as it relates to black folks being intimidated, harassed and etc. because Barack Obama is a black man. I imagine many of you have not noticed but things have been kind of quiet as it relates to people talking about our new President Elect. But I bet you if that other guy and gal had won, it would be much discussion going on.
I am challenging folks who are not members of the NAACP to join/rejoin and to get active. I feel strongly that the NAACP is going to be busier than ever dealing with race relations beginning in 2009.
The NC NAACP had a saying during the past election "You better vote." Well I have a saying, "You better get involveeed in 2009 because it is our time." I am celebrating the moment now and will continue to do so. I will not allow anyone to turn me around because I am pressing onward. It is not about me but about the future, the future of our children.

I find it so amazing that several folks feel that when you visit forums on the internet that just because some who uses code names post information annoymously and uses more than one code name so they don't feel what they are saying is effective. I have stated it over and over on the Rocky Mount Telegram forum and the Greenville Daily Reflector forum that several folks uses more than one code name and have been doing so for the past 4 - 5 years.
I have seen Rocky Mount City Councilmen Andre Knight and Reuben Blackwell name all over the Rocky Mount and Greenville forums and a couple of blogs saying things about them that were not true however anyone who do not know any better would tend to believe it.
The effectiveness of blogs, forums and letters over the internet is a powerful thing. Just look at the bull manure that has gone out during this Presidential Election. Just recently a letter went about wearing Obama buttons, pins, shirts, hats and etc. to the polls that you will be turned away. I have talked to so many folks who fell for that b.s. and I had to tell them that I wear my shirt, hat, buttons, pins or whatever to the polls every year so I know it was a lie. I also told them that Democracy NC and the State Board of Elections have validated that voters can wear buttons, pins, shirts, hats and etc. to the polls and will not be turned away.
I heard that in Rocky Mount that voters were turned away from the polls when they tried to vote over at the National Guard Armory. I was told that Rocky Mount City Councilwoman Lois Watkins addressed the issue.
One of my top concerns over the years have been I have seen folks allow others to say things that are not true and misleading about another person when they know it was not true. I never allow something to pass me by when I know it is not true even if I am not a friend of the person in question. Ex. For instance if someone was to say something untrue about Roosevelt Higgs and I knew it was not true without a shatter of doubt, I would speak up. But so many folks get caught up into the moment because they do not get along with the enemy that they will not speak up.
Well anyone who feel that what folks are saying does not matter and need to let it go unattended, then they have issues. I know I have been able to set the record straight about many folks but I would be scared to know how many folks who have allowed folks to attempt to discredit me and they not say a damn thing. Well that is no problem because that is why I blog and speak truth to power because I will not leave my self-worth totally in others hands.
The reason why blogs are so effective is because bloggers report the news before many local newpapers does. For instance say say if I go to a governmental or political meeting I can report it before it is published in the local newspaper. I can video the meeting and feature it on You Tube so it can be seen live or I can record the audio and play it so one can hear it.
Beginning next week I will begin utilizing You Tube so I can share the many videos that I have in my archives and future videos as well.
I plan to take my blog to another level so stay tuned. Oh and by the way I don't use a code name so you can check me out.

Is Edgecombe County really enforcing their Minimum Housing Code? Why are they protecting Roosevelt Higgs?
Today Tuesday, October 14, 2008 I stopped by the Edgecombe County Administration Bldg to pay my dad's water and sewage bill. After I left that office which is on the 1st floor I decided to go up to the 2nd floor to the Planning and Inspections Department to ask about my request dated September 29, 2008 request for more information (see attachment).
Ola Pittman Director Planning and Inspections seemed to have a problem with me questioning her office. She wanted to know just what did I want. She began to read my letter dated September 29, 2008 that I sent to her via email to forward to Brian Hassell whom I had spoke to earlier that day. Pittman wanted to dwell on my comments about the area being a junkyard/landfill. I said just focus on the request and that is the findings that you have a deadline listed and it is not in the $17.00 package that I picked up earlier on September 29. She read I said the original complaint was filed in 2006 and now it is 2008 and I said what is a reasonable time frame for working on this case?
Pittman said Higgs is working with her department so what more do I want? She said it must be all about Higgs and the Election. I said I addressed the Edgecombe County Commissioners when they discussed the Minimum Housing Code in 2003 so I am going to hold her office and the County Commissioners accountable for doing their job and I don't feel like they are doing it. She said she was doing her job and I need to understand they had other things to do in her office.
Pittman said she had discussed my issue with Lorenzo Carmon County Manager and he said they had done their job. He is the same person who stated that Higgs said he lived in a school bus and the bus had been moved per his comments when I addressed the Board of Commissioners on April 7, 2008 (see attachment my response to County Commissioners). Pittman said I was going to have to set up an appointment with the County Manager and good luck because he had been trying to meet with him for 2 days. I said I have no problem with meeting with him and whoever.
It is clear that the Edgecombe County Planning and Inspections Department Director Ola Pittman, County Manager Lorenzo Carmon and the County Commissioners are all protecting Roosevelt Higgs.
I want to make it clear that it was all about Higgs when the original complaint was filed on September 27, 2006 up until I did a follow-up in April 2008. So why is it Pittman have said to me well you know who we are working with and I said yes I do. So does that mean he is receiving special treatment? Today Pittman said Higgs is working with them but went on to say he has missed several appointments. She said they were suppose to had met on today but again he couldn't make it but it was so funny he was coming in the building when I was getting in the elevator and more than likely headed to the Board of Elections Office.
The reason why they are protecting Higgs in my opinion is because the County Manager Lorenzo Carmon is over the Edgecombe County Planning and Inspection Department and the Edgecombe County Board of Elections. They are allowing the complaint against Higgs to linger on because in my opinion the county is open to a lawsuit with the Andre Knight residency challenge, along with Rev. A.C. Batchelor, my wife and myself because it is clear that Higgs did not live at Lot 58 Gray Drive Speed NC when he filed the challenges against us. It is clear that he do not live there now as well.
It is strange that the local newspapers The Daily Southerner and The Rocky Mount Telegram ran articles often about the status of the Andre Knight Rocky Mount City Councilman Residency Challenge filed by Roosevelt Higgs that was in the NC Court of Appeals before the verdict came down. The NC Court of Appeals ruled in Knight's favor saying his rights had been violated and sent the case back to Edgecombe County to the local Board of Elections. Gayle Hudson former Board of Elections Chair resigned while the residency case was in the NC Court of Appeals. I feel strongly she was a part of the conspiracy and feel to Higgs manipulation. The 2 Democratic Party appointees on the board at that time were not reappointed however the Republican Bettye Lewis who was on the board at that time was reappointed.

On April 11, 2008, you filed a complaint in our office concerning a housing code violation against Roosevelt Higgs located at Lot 58 Staton Estates Subdivision located off on Gray Street off Norfleet Street and NC 122 North in Township No.4 in the Speed Community. On April 14, 2008, staff from the Planning and Inspections Office did an on-site inspection and reported that there was not a habitable structure on site for a permit to be issued. However, the on-inspection revealed other violations which include Junked and Abandoned Vehicles Ordinance and Solid Waste Ordinance. These violations will be dealt with accordingly.

Location: Lot 58 Station Estates off NC 122 North and Gray Drive Township No.4
On the afternoon of Thursday, September 27,2006 an on-site inspection was conducted on the above mentioned property for Housing Code Violations as they related to the Minimum Housing Code adopted by Edgecombe County (on October 6, 2003). At the time of inspections, there was no permanent structure used for housing, however, there was a Transportable Housing Unit as defined in the regulations as other structure used for human shelter which is not attached to the ground or other structure or to any utility system on the same premises.
This unit was a self-contained unit having water and sewer facilities and powered by a generator. This unit was placed on site without the proper permits which is in violation of the County's Unified Development Ordinance (ARTICLE IV. Permits and Procedures).
The above named property owner will be informed of this violation and will have ten (10) days to comply with the County's regulations.

Dear Mr. Higgs:
Edgecombe County has adopted Ordinances, which regulate procedures for growth and development in the planning and zoning jurisdiction of the County. Under the "Edgecombe County Abandoned, Nuisance, and Junked Motor Vehicle Ordinance" and "Edgecombe County Solid Waste Ordinance", certain uses are not permitted in this jurisdiction.
On September 27, 2006 I made a visit to your property to investigate a minimum housing complaint. My findings do not reflect a minimum housing complaint. However, I did find several other violations. A zoning violation was discovered regarding your transportable housing. To correct this violation you need to obtain a permit for this housing and get inspected. There are also several junk car violations. You need to have the taxes paid on these vehicles. In conjunction with this, they must run on their own power. There are also several solid waste violations on the property. The one I am most concerned with is the two oil drums. These post the most imminent threat to the environment and need to be disposed of. I also observed a pile of burning garbage. This is illegal and the county fire marshal is aware of this situation.
I will be making a follow up inspection of the property in the near future. I will be looking for improvements concerning these above mentioned violations. Please contact our office as soon as possible with your intentions for correction of these violations.

Comments during the meeting Walker in red, I am in blue 2nd Vice President, Political Action Chair and Publicity Chair, my comments in blue what I was thinking in my mind while Walker was talking but not stated verbally during the meeting. Andre Knight President Rocky Mount NAACP in purple and Deacon Bernard Bullock in green.
Walker responded to the question from the lady from Barack campaign about using Diebold machines and asked the BOE reps about using machines and they said they are not going to use touchscreens don't have those machines but will use laptops during One-stop to pull up information. Walker said good.
Walker said let me suggest something here. He said he is with the Edgecombe Nash Black Political Caucus and we are partisan and we support all groups but the reality is this and we all have a responsibility to not allow a jungle of confusion. He said first of all we must vote for President separate and he asked the BOE had they talked about that and they said no. Walker said we must vote for the President by name and 28 ballots he said I ain't encouraging anyone to take 28 ballots and try to figure out who to vote for. (Talking about confusion he is the one always confusing folks, 28 ballots is because there are 28 precincts in Nash Counties and 21 in Edgecombe, but the voters only get 1 ballot.) He said we are encouraging our people to vote straight party and that will take care of everything else. (This is when the BOE and people in the audience starting speaking up. Walker turned to the BOE reps and said let me finish). Walker said we are encouraging a 3 step voting and we already have our ballots printed out. (This is when I asked Rev. Walker to stop and he continued and turned around to me pointing his finger saying man I am making a point and let me finish. I said we are not going to discuss the Edgecombe Nash Black Political Caucus in the meeting.) Walker said we are not that he is discussing his people. Walker said I am not going to discuss my ballots here but he was going to discuss a process. (I said give us a question.) Andre walked up and intervened and said that we are not going to have this. Walker said this is what we are going to do 3 things. (I said no we are going to let the BOE explain the ballot because he brought up an excellent point.) Walker said but they haven't said that yet (and I said they can do it now and we are not going to entertain what you are saying. I said I am going to let them explain that now) and Walker said call the police and have me arrested. Andre still standing there and (I said I am not going to do that but I can do that because I am not going to put up with this.) Walker turned to Andre and said he stopped me before I made my final point. Deacon Bernard Bullock said you are out of order, if he says you are out of order then you are out of order. Walker then said to Deacon Bullock that is your opinion. Walker said okay you can vote for the President and then vote straight party, then for the judges. (I said this meeting is not to tell people who to vote for.) Walker said we didn't tell them who to vote for. (I then asked the BOE reps to explain to the people about the ballot.) Andre said hold it, he was changing the format, he was in charge, he was the President, NAACP and Black Workers for Justice called this meeting, this is an historic election we have people here with important information that we need because we are going to be taking people to the polls asking our friends and relatives to go to the polls and vote. Knight said this stuff is not called for and we are not going to have this going on. He asked the BOE reps. will you address what Dr. Walker just said and from here on he was in charge.
The above outburst took about 3 minutes and 34 seconds. When I began to preside over the question and answer period, I stated that let's ask questions that will help us in the upcoming election and not talk about concerns that is not important now. I said that because Walker kept going back to what happened at the 2 past Edgecombe County Board of Elections meetings when he showed his ass. I said we were pushed for time and that was partly due to Walker had been interrupting the speakers during their presentations asking questions and making comments before the question and answering period began.
You see folks this is why I video meetings for my personal archives because when safe Negroes, old guards, Political Pimps and Pimps in the Pulpit show their ignance I can play it back. It is just a damn shame that a man of the cloth show up and show his ass like this performance on last night.
I have tried to deal with this out of control Negro over the years however after last night that did it. It was he who stated some years ago when I challenged him and others that I was out of control but since that time I have been able to obtain a power base and resources not only locally but across the nation and the old guards can't stand it.
Folks I will not allow the Walkers in our neighborhoods to mislead folks, push their agenda so they can pimp candidates to get money for their political pacs when he is not doing a damn thing but showing his ass. If you look at his political pac Edgecombe Nash Black Political Caucus you can see he is a damn joke and that it is no one but he and Deacon Dennis Hussey a member of his church who serves as the treasurer. You see in order to have a pac you only need a president and a treasurer. I am out here struggling spending my own funds trying to educate folks about what is going on and exposing the crooks so that we can really move forward for a better tomorrow.
It is sad that some folks are using the Obama campaign for self promotion. I will not allow anyone to pimp me and others in the process and I do not give a damn if they are black, brown, white or other.

Politics is Real So You Can Get Involved or Get Left Behind!
Thank you for stopping by here as I inform you especially black folks about what is really going on around us and who the real leaders are in my opinion. You see I attend many meetings across the county and abroad. I capture the events on video and/or audio so that we can tell our own story. Other folks can't tell our story like we can. Again this is my opinion so do your homework as I do and/or trust in me and others who are active until we lead you wrong.
So what do I mean by:
(A grassroots effective community activist who has been very, very active in politics since the early 90's. I have served on the Edgecombe County Democratic Party Executive Committee for several years before resigning due to the ignance of black folks. I hold black, brown and white elected officials and community leaders accountable for their actions. Because I have not been afraid to talk about race relations in Edgecombe County, the State of North Carolina and across the nation, I have been labeled a racist, militant and other choice words.)
I say ignorance of black folks because when we have the power we do not use it. I remember when we used to be in the minority in the party and we had to take what the majority did to us. Now we are in the majority and what do we do? We will sell our souls for some crumbs to help get certain white folks elected instead of working together to elect good black folks in office especially in minority districts.
Nope I didn't include white folks because for me it is not all about them but about what we can do when we work together. My goal has always been to get us as a black people to work together. When we work together good white folks will work with us.
I am quite sure some black folks get offended when they read my comment however that is my intent. So that is why I say certain things to make people mad and that way I will make them think.
Politics do not have to be dirty and that is what I have been preaching since the early 90's when I became an effective community activist. I have challenged black, brown, white and other politicians over the years and I will continue to do so. When we hold them accountable they do a better job of serving the whole community and not looking out for themselves or their friends.
Politics is real and it ain't goings anywhere so you can get involved or get left behind.

On yesterday, Monday, August 25, 2008 my school year began. My daughter is a senior and my son is in the 5th grade. My daughter drove to school and my wife and I carried my son to school.
I had a flashback and thought about how I would love to be back in school because I wouldn't have to worry about a thing caus my parents would have all the worries.
My wife and I are and have been a part of our children schooling and will continue to do so.
I look forward to the beginning of school every year because it it gives my family and I something to do. On today, Tuesday not only am I involved in my children's schooling but I support other children by attending their sporting events. My daughter 1st volleyball game of the season was today and they beat another Edgecombe County Public School Tarboro High 2 games to 1 as they play the best out of 5. I will video her games as I have done over the years and I will give a copy to the volleyball coach so the team can look at the game so they can so the success and failures on the floor.
This year I will video the varsity girls and boys basketball teams as well. I have done that over the years also but not in the latter years.
I challenge all parents to get involved in your child schooling academically and if they play sports attend their games. If you are not a parent, find a child to support academically and/or support them at athletic events.

The Cougars beat the Vikings 3-1 marking the first time SouthWest has beaten Tarboro under second-year coach Kendra Jones. In the first set, Tarboro led 19-10 before the Cougars stormed back to take the set. The Vikings bounced back and won the second set but didn't look the same. SouthWest took advantage of several Vikings unforced errors and won the final two sets. Hinton led the Cougars with 11 service points and eight digs.

I have been taking a break from my PC and my TV Talk Show. However I have been posting information on my blog but not forwarding it out to my listserve.
I have received several phone calls and emails and run into people when I am at the mall and other places who want to know when I am going to start back sending out information and coming back on TV.
I tell you it has been great not being tied down 7 days a week doing research to make information available to the community. It has been hard and sometimes I get a shake (like having a nicotine fit) coming on because I have been doing what I do for about 15 years.
I feel I have figured out what I need to do with my calling of educating those who want to know the truth as well as those who do not. I have figured out that if I don't tell it, then who will. I continue to talk to folks who say we need to do this and we need to do that however they are not going to do it so I must do what need to be done. Tell it. It is up to others how they receive it.
If it is the Lord's will I will be back on the job educating the community via Dancy Communications Network over the internet beginning in August. I have not decided if and when I am going to begin the TV Talk Show.
