Governor-elect Bev Perdue announced Wednesday that North Carolina citizens can now provide suggestions and feedback to her online as she plans her administration.
Her inauguration is scheduled for Jan. 10.
"During this transition period I believe it's important for citizens to be engaged in their government and to have input - this is a way for them to do that," said Perdue.

The NAACP on Thursday questioned the lack of minorities among Governor-elect Beverly Perdue's initial appointments.
Perdue campaigned as a change candidate who would shake up state government, but the three people she selected to handle the transition to her administration – Norris Tolson, Don Hobart, and Zach Ambrose – are politically connected white men. (WRAL)

I totally agree with the following move. This should have been done years ago because these good ole boys have been using this board for personal gain. This is a long time coming. I will hold Perdue to her word when she is our next Governor.
Gov. Beverly Perdue said Wednesday that if she is elected governor, she would strip most of the power from the state Board of Transportation.
Perdue, in an interview with The News & Observer's editorial board, said she would issue an executive order on inauguration day re-imagining the transportation board as a panel more focused on long-term planning. Currently the board approves contracts and projects in addition to setting long-term priorities.
"I want to take the money out of the board. I want to transform the way DOT does business," she said.
North Carolina governors have historically given board seats as rewards to big fundraisers. The board has become an issue in the race for governor. (News Observer)
