First of all that crazy Governor Sarah Palin chick came out on stage and her first words as she shook Senator Joe Biden's hand was can I call you Joe? What the hell was that all about? This was just damn disrespectful. During my coming and goings you don't call folks of status by their first name unless the other person give you that right. And this normally comes when the two people have been involved and knows each other to the point where they have a mutual agreement that they call themselves by first names. So the right thing to do this crazy Palin chick should have referred to Biden as Senator.

It tickled the hell out of me how this Governor Palin chick ignored the role of the moderator Gwen Ifill (PBS Washington) a black female and chose not to answer the questions. This chick made it clear that she was not going to answer the questions but was going to do what she wanted to do on the stage. It is clear this chick should be a damn comedian because she is full of jokes.

The debate was a joke as it relates to this crazy chick Palin. It is obvious she has no clue of what is really going on across the nation. It is sad that all she has to do is to appear and look pretty and just say whatever not relating to the issues. It is no way the news media would allow Obama to get away with such.

This crazy chick came into the debate with low expectations from the "world viewers" because of all that has been in the news about her since Senator John McCain has chosen her as his VP. This goes to show that what I have heard all of my life that a black man has to be two times better than a white person must have some truth to it. Well is that really true? Is that really good enough? Senator Barack Obama's educational background is as follows: Occidental College - Two years, Columbia University - B.A. political science with a specialization in international relations and Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude. Senator Joe Biden: University of Delaware - B.A. in history and B.A. in political science. Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.). Senator John McCain's education is as follows: United States Naval Academy - Class rank 894 out of 899 (meaning that, like George Bush, McCain was at the bottom of his class). Governor Sarah Palin's education is as follows: Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester, North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study, University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester, University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in journalism. So how can the nay-sayers say Senator Barack Obama do not have the credentials.

This is how I see this historical moment in our time. I would never have thought in my life time that I would be able to vote for a black man for President of these United States. I can't believe a white male and a white female is on stage having a debate about a black man becoming the President. I can't believe I have witnessed a black female Moderator and Managing Editor Washington Week Gwen Ifill moderating such a historical debate. I can't believe I actually run into many, many white folks who say they are excited about voting for a black man for President and I take them at their word. I can't believe I am sitting here looking at national tv "Our World" Ed Gordon of Black Enterprise Network featuring Valeisha Butterfield Executive Director of Hip Hop Action Summer Network daughter of US Congressman G.K. Butterfield Wilson NC in on national TV talking about this election. I have never seen so many black folks engaged in a Presidential Election in my lifetime. I know I have never been engaged to this degree since I became elgible to vote in 1982, however I have been actively engaged in grassroots politics since the early 90's.

I love it that Senator Joe Biden is representing a black man for President. My point is that it is not another black person in the position to push Senator Barack Obama agenda. Biden did a great job. I am used to black folks having to fight for other black folks to have a place at the table however there has been some whites who have fought with us. I am just waiting to see how white folks really help close this chapter in history by voting for this black man in huge numbers.

I must say I have mixed emotions about the Presidential Election because I am waiting to see if white folk especially in Edgecombe County are truly going to vote for a black man to not only sit at the table but at the head of the table. If this happens then I hope Senator John McCain will consider retiring from the Senate, Governor Sarah Palin can go back to Alaska with all of her drama and we can truly sing together, "We Have Overcome."
