In light of all the newspaper articles in Wilson and surrounding areas about the spending and salaries at ElectriCities. With the suggested cut and downsizing that felled upon deaf ears, it is now time that the council exercise it power and rights on the thing that it can. Don’t tell me that questions have been asked at ElectriCities I have been at the last 3 Board of Director meeting and no question has been ask on cuts or doing something internal to help. If it was it was in close session and I did not read about any concerns from the city. I am sure that you know as council members of a member city you can ask to meet with the board of directors. Do this and ask for accountability and understanding on the mismanagement.
As for here at home find ways that the city can help the elderly on fix income that had a time last year. Find ways that the city can help single parents who work two jobs to make ends meet I know that we all have it hard and with the feds bail out of AIG and Fannie mae and feddie mac. It looks like there is still up hill but if you are looking at over $5 million in a new city hall then why not look at $5 million to help the people who help make Wilson what it is to day.
On that there was two statements made . One about the city hall move and the other at a council meeting as per paper I quote

Mayor Bruce Rose knows a move would upset some citizens.
"We're going to take some heat when this hits the paper," Rose told the council members. "But we've got to do what's right for the city."
"The ElectriCities board is looking at every issue we can possibly look at this time," said Mayor Bruce Rose, a member of ElectriCities board of directors. "The city is not going to do anything." Do what right for the city are not the people the city? Is the city going to do nothing or something that will help the people? When the statement was made that the city is not going to do nothing I did not here a vote or a motion to that effect. Is the city ran by a dictatorship or a council manager from of government?

So with that I have 3 questions for the council:

1 Will the council meet with the Board of Director to better understand and hold them accountable and bring it back to the people in Wilson

2        Will the city do something or nothing to help the people of our city?

3        Is our city a dictatorship.

Here is a list of some of the things we do to each other that make us loose respect for another person or to feel disrespected by their behavior:

1 We are not given reasonable explanations
2 Our questions are not taken seriously
3 Our questions are not answered or are evaded

The air time for the citizens on tv needs to be reinstated
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing your answers
