Wilson NC - NCEMPA seeks more control Knight and others have no power

To those folks who continue to go after Andre Knight Rocky Mount City Council who serves on the NCEMPA the following speaks volume. Currently, rate increase decisions are handled by the ElectriCities board of directors first with the NCEMPA board of commissioners only having the power to affirm the vote, but not oppose it. So damn it appears Knight and the other commissioners have no power. What they are proposing must be asked for 12 months in advance before they can make a change to the current ElectriCities Board power.
I know what was discussed at the meeting yesterday so all those who are trying to make Knight, Reuben Blackwell and the Rocky Mount City Council the enemy, ya'll don't have damn clue of how politics work. Ya think they can make a damn governing body that they Knight and Blackwell do not sit on (ElectriCities Board) do what they hell ya'll want ElectriCities to do. It is so damn funny that the only names that those hiding behind code names bring up is Knight and Ricardo Dew. Dew is making a difference and he is just a citizen because he is affected and if I was, I would be getting the hell off of work to attend the meetings too. But hell no, these folks expect Knight and Dew to fight their battle. This is what I call pimping these 2 guys to get what the hell ya'll want.
Do ya'll get it? The damn Power Agency that Knight sits on basically has no power. But ya'll ignant a... continue to mislead folks by posting all this bull manure. Hell yeah that I why I support Knight, Blackwell, Dew and the others caus they understand the political process. But ya'll ignant a... continue to try to make Knight, Blackwell and the RM City Council the enemy. It is like Rev. Al Sharpton says, do all of this for folks and they don't appreciate and then act as if they have figured something out. (Video)
The board also decided to increase its voting power in relation to electric rate increases. Currently, rate increase decisions are handled by the ElectriCities board of directors first with the NCEMPA board of commissioners only having the power to affirm the vote, but not oppose it, said Ken Raber, senior vice president of NCEMPA. The ElectriCities board has 12 members from public power agency cities, including six within the NCEMPA region. (Wilson Times)

ps Rick Dew volunteered to be a spokesperson for wilson so no one is using him. we are helping him run for mayor and he has done more than anyone including drive to electricities for board meetings and go there to get public records.

(Nope, that is not a good enough excuse. People who are directly affected need to pack out the rooms so they can see the community wants action.) TPA

(Letters to editor is good however going to the meetings in numbers is the best way to send a message to the ElectriCities Board the real enemy. Letter to editor is more of a public statement so others can see what is going on and not a direct effect on the board.) TPA

In some counties the Mayor can't vote but only to break a tie but he can be in control of the meeting which is a good thing. But right now he is not runnng for anything. Folks need to be in the room with him and that will show the council that he has the support of the community and the next time he run it will make a difference. Again ya'll need to understand how politics work.
When ya'll start supporting Dew by showing up at the meetings, he will become a force to be reckoned with but as long as ya'll continue to hide behind code names and not attend the meetings, the process will be a long one.) TPA

I, and others, were told by Wilson City staff there was no meeting or that they knew of no meeting so we did not know where it was or if it really was.That is why I was not there. And others experienced the same thing.

(Really? So that mean you need to follow NCblue.com, my blog and some others blog so that you will know what is going on. But the 1st thing you can do is touch basis with Ricardo Dew because he is on top of things.
Bro. Dew is on the radio several times a week when he is not working the day shift on his real job or taking vacation days so he can go to certain meetings in the city or in Raleigh.
But then some others say they can't get off work. LOL) TPA

(And you are not going to see me in there simply because I am not affected. And if I was to attend it would be to video for my archives and so that Knight and others could use it. That is how I roll. Now again if I was directly affected, you damn right I would be there.
Well I be damn, now you are going to the ElectriCities Board meeting in Raleigh I am assuming. But ignant I was talking about the meeting this past Wednesday the Power Agency meeting that was held in Wilson NC.
Don't worry about how I know who was in the room. I have resources so don't even try it and I be damn if I am going to share them with you caus for one thing I don't know who the hell you are. LOL) TPA

You say you have contacted them so why in the hell ain't your beef on this board about them as it relates to ElectriCities Board and if Knight was not showing up at the Power Agency meeting then you could talk about him. Oh well.) TPA

People have been working on this for a year.
(Damn Knight, others and myself have been working on this for around 10 years so don't go there with me. Hell it was Knight who was not on the RM City Council at the time, Carol Batchelor, Lewis Turner, myself and others who held the meeting at Truth Tabernacle around 10 years ago and that is when we found out about the millions of dollars of debt to ElectriCities. We have been a part of several meeting over the years.'

He who didn't support Lois? Tilton? Didn't know he could vote. If you are talking about him I am quite sure he wanted the old white guy who ran against Lois since he had been on the council before.
Forget Raper ask Batchelor? Batchelor is one of the old guards so really he is going to go against ElectriCities and Fred Turnage former Rocky Mayor of 30 plus years and sits on the ElectriCities Board? I don't think so.
