Jeff I agree with you 100% on this one. I just don't understand how they would have thought this would have passed the test without anyone saying something. But this goes to show just how far we have come as it relates to respecting the black race. This is racism at its best because to not feature black folks who live and spend money in this town is just a slap in the face. However I am glad they are going back correcting the problem but the damage has been done.
And while this was likely not an act of intentional racism — Muhammad never suggested that it was — to promote a town without including valuable portions of the community would be a mistake. Likewise, other council members probably would have protested the promo videos had 90 percent of those featured been black, instead of white. (Rocky Mount Telegram)
