Rocky Mount Telegram staff writer John Henderson put together an excellent report two weeks ago on the impact of a proposed 14 percent electric bill increase on local businesses.
Initially, we wanted his story to focus on folks you know and see regularly – dry cleaners, restaurant owners, small businesses – people already struggling to make ends meet. But as Henderson began asking questions, he found a bigger story. (Read More)

I called Rebca Agner and she never answers her phone. It goes to a voice mailbox. Ken Raber is the only one talking. Why is that. Why does he have to answer for the man making half a million a year. That man should have to answer to us. Esterine Davis is someone I have talked to before and she is rude, rude. These people have no reason to talk to us. They ignore us and the bills.
