The five-and-a-half-hour joint meeting took members of both boards on tours . . . (Source Rocky Mount Telegram)
C. Dancy II - TPA Opinion: I attended the meeting beginning at 6:30 PM and I enjoyed Dr. Witherspoon's presentation. Commissioners Viola Harris and Leonard Wiggins concerns about the diversity of teachers and diversity training were of interest to me. Commissioner Wayne Hines concerns about the Positive Behavior Initiative being consistent in each school was of interest to me. I agree with Commissioner Felton on the laptop initiative and especially with the balancing of the Fund Balance. What I found strange was there were no parents, one Principal and she was from CEA, the alternative school at Roberson.
