The number of accomplishments to benefit the Twin Counties and our Eastern North Carolina region that Tom Betts made happen is too long to list. Mr. Betts has been a positive force in our community, region and state for a long time.

C. Dancy II - TPA Opinion: Well I be damn the issue of him leaving the Department of Transportation is because of his asking for money. Now for all of these folks who have signed this letter my question is, "Days after resigning from his seat on the N.C. Board of Transportation, Tom Betts declined to comment on the political fundraising efforts that led to his departure.
