Rocky Mount officials will meet with a Texas-based consulting group Wednesday to glean potential ideas for future economic development.
The Buxton Company, a multi-faceted consulting firm that focuses on retail development for both the private and public sectors, will meet with city officials and members of the City Council at 3 p.m. in the Committee Room of City Hall.

Dancy II - TPA Opinion: I heard the representative who will becoming on today on WRSV 92.1 Express Yourself Talk Show on Monday and on Zax Radio 99.3 on Tuesday and I can't wait to hear him present what the company has to offer. On Tuesday he compared Rocky Mount to Jacksonville Florida how they only wanted to build up one side of the city and the company showed them how the other side could help the the entire council meet the needs. The point was when the city officials got involved then the whole city moved forward.
