EVERY OTHER WEEK RECYCLING COLLECTION BEGINS JANUARY 28
· Mail: All residents with a brown recycling container will receive a postcard in the mail that shows the weeks of their recycling collection for 2008.
· Website: Visit www.greensboro-nc.gov, go to the Every Other Week link and type in your address. A map and calendar will let you know which weeks your recyclables will be picked up.
· Phone: Call 373-CITY (2489) and give your address to the Customer Service Representative who answers your call to learn which weeks your collection will take place.
· Media: Channel 13, local newspapers, television and radio stations, as well as billboards will have information on the new schedule.
If you typically fill up your brown recycling container every week, you may call 373-CITY (2489) to purchase a second recycling container. The cost is $30 per container during January and February 2008, and City staff will deliver it to your home. You may also take your recyclables to one of nine conveniently located recycling drop sites:

All recyclable items can simply be placed in the brown recycling container and rolled to the curb every other week. Recyclable items include:
· Newspapers, magazines, office paper and junk mail
· Plastic bottles #1 and #2
· Empty aerosol cans
· Glass food and drink bottles and jars
· Cardboard and chipboard (flat gray cardboard)
· Aluminum, steel, and tin cans
· Hard plastic (plastic buckets, laundry baskets, milk crates, etc.)
