It's official. Station 53 opened Friday, May 25, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. The new station is located at 2013 Willow Road. The station is housed a temporary building with 1 engine and 15 firemen. The permanent building will begin construction in the next year. The captain of Station 53 says the reception by the residents in the area has been extremely positive. Welcome to a station long over due.
