1) Cara Michelle’s instruction from the Homeless Prevention Coalition of Guilford County to remove her blog from the member page of HPCGC’s web site. Her blog is the best advocate for the homeless of Greensboro.:
Comment: Cara Michele, It was too many battles with people like these who made me the hurt and disillusioned person I am. Your blog is one of the very best as far as I am concerned. Just as you are one of the very best.
I can not advise you what to do, but I can promise you that if you buck them they will bury you from being actively involved on any committees. They are all really just petty little people and they know it in their hearts, so they back each other up in their pettiness so that they can put on a show of self-righteousness. These were the kinds of people who saw to it that Christ was crucified. BB

2) Ivin Smallwood’s (former N&R editor) idea for the WMS as it appeared on the opinion pages of the N&R: (on David Hoggaqrd and David Wharton's sites
Comment: I was livid when I saw this insanity! Didn’t spit coffee across the table just hurled the N&R across the room and scared the bejesus out of Felix our rabbit. It took me two hours to coax him out from under the bed and by that time I had calmed down enough not to send Robinson a blistering e-mail for giving print space to this blasphemy. The veterans of WWI ask that if the city erected a monument to them it be a “living” monument and not just a hunk of stone, and this is what the city did. Now 75 years later the veterans of all the wars since (including the current one) I am sure would feel the same. This is why we people of Greensboro have to fight our city council and city hall to keep the WMS in repair so as to continue to be useable by the people of Greensboro. BB

Comment: I wonder if Skip Alston and Earl Jones and cohorts have decided how to divide up the “spoils” yet? They had better hurry because they only have one month and in that time someone just might figure out a way to actually snatch some of it to spend on exhibits. BB

4) Fec on Iran and Pat Buchanan’s questioning Iran’s progress towards acquiring nuclear arms. He also hits at the US and our wars as opposed to the one and only 1979 revolution of Iran. :
Comment: Fec, "The wave of the Islamic revolution will soon reach the entire world." These are the words of the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadineja. And at the end of his speech at the United Nations in the fall of 2005, Ahmadinejad made an invocation to Allah to bring about the speedy reappearance of the Hidden Imam. This was his warning to the world thru the world organization to beware. Ahmadinejad claims he was "directed by Allah to pave the way for the glorious appearance of the Mahdi". The Hidden Imam or Mahdi will come to save the world and in order to save the world, it must be in a state of chaos and subjugation. This then is Ahmadinejad's plan for the world: he will lead the destruction of the Infidels and the Great Satan America thereby beginning the great purification of the world so that the Great Imam will then come forth to rescue the world from the infidel and save the world for the "true believers". This man's beliefs and intentions are to me very scary indeed, and it should be to the world. He has given the world ample warning of his intentions. We just don't seem to believe him. BB
